Chicago Spanish radio news
Tagged: Chicago, Illinois, radioPosted on: July 26th, 2007“A local Spanish broadcaster charged the less-than-stellar numbers of the Hispanic stations were due to faulty measurements, a claim Arbitron denied. Jeff Shrinsky, vice president and general manager of Spanish-music WLEY-FM 107.9, whose stations share plummeted from 3.1 to 1.7 among listeners 12 and older, said 956 diaries had gone to Hispanic listeners last spring, compared with 725 this time.
“I question the statistical reliability of this survey,” he said. “They did not have a sufficient number of diaries to represent the Hispanic marketplace.”"
