“Each summer, the networks parade their fall shows for the nations television critics in Los Angeles.

A new CBS fall series might have Palm Beach borrowing the old Jackie Gleason refrain, “How sweet it is”

Cane is a sprawling serialized drama set in Palm Beach about a Cuban-American family that has become spectacularly wealthy farming the county’s sugar cane fields. The key word is “set.” Portions of the pilot were shot in Palm Beach but the bulk of the series will be filmed in Southern California, just as CSI: Miami is.”
