What seems weird is that this story is about the company that makes the T-shirt that was pulled from Macy’s yet makes no mention of it in the article. You can see the t-shirt in question at http://www.surropa.com/
“Tacky is cool.Thats the kitschy catchy slogan for NaCo, a popular Mexican line of sassy Ts gaining ground with gringos.
South of the border, the word naco roughly translates to trashy.
But the chicks and dudes who wear the shirts are anything but. These are streetwise hipsters who are eager to celebrate their nationality and can see the humor in outdated stereotypes.”
