Hispanic fest ends 4-day run- Boston

“Sitting in a lawn chair with the sun beating down on her, Nana Gonzalez cheerfully took in the sights, sounds and smells of the Hispanic Family Festival.

Her seat gave her a perfect view of the performers on stage while keeping her in the midst of the dizzying array of people who descended on Springdale Park for the festivals four-day run.

Gonzalez, of East Haven, Conn., traveled to the Paper City yesterday to watch the Western Massachusetts Puerto Rican Parade and visit the festival. “I think its beautiful,” she said of the event. “Its really nice. The food is good and the people are nice.”"
