Picking Monday to start the tournament, the lack of star players and the precautionary measures local Latino immigrants are taking under the current political climate were some of the reasons people gave as to why the University of Phoenix Stadium was nearly empty Monday night.
It left some wondering how the stadium can draw a state soccer-record 62,426 fans for a match just five months ago but only attract a couple hundred fans on Monday. “
