Wisconsin State Fair opens arms to Hispanic residents

“On Aug. 4, singer Lupillo Rivera and sultry songstress Ana Barbara will take the stage as the first Latin music performers to headline at the State Fair.

Local Spanish-language radio station WDDW-FM (104.7) will broadcast from the fairgrounds all 11 days of this year’s event.

And in the months and weeks leading up to the fair, Wisconsin’s Hispanic community has been encouraged – in its own language – to attend: on billboards, on the fair park’s Web site, even on the backs of beer and soft-drink delivery trucks.”
