Study shows immigrant amnesty could bring £1bn in tax revenues – Britian
Posted on: July 17th, 2007“NEARLY 100 MPs are backing a call for up to 500,000 illegal immigrants to be given the right to stay in Britain under an amnesty that advocates say would bring in up to £1 billion in extra tax revenue.
A total of 88 MPs have now signed a parliamentary motion endorsing findings by the Institute of Public Policy Research, which suggests it would better and cheaper to legitimise illegal immigrants than to track and deport them.”
