Latin Alternative Conference in Tune With Manhattan
Tagged: Cuba, Mexico, New York, New York CityPosted on: July 16th, 2007“The Latin Alternative Music Conference keeps moving up, literally and figuratively.
Conference brainchild Tomás Cookman, who’s celebrating the eighth year of the four-day music event, explained the time was right to leave New York Citys downtown Puck building for the roomier environs of The Roosevelt Hotel in midtown Manhattan.
The new site served as both the official lodging and meeting venue for the 1,250 officially registered attendees, who were entertained and engaged in the latest offerings on the Latin alternative rock front. It will culminate with a live performance by Mexicos legendary Café Tacuba, The Bronxs eclectic Pacha Massive and reggaeton/rapper La Sista at the Summerstage Show in Central Park on Saturday.”
