“Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico has formed a partnership with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and DrTango Inc. to launch a one-year study involving the evaluation of a culturally and linguistically appropriate online diet and weight-loss program for Hispanics called “Mi Dieta.”

Mi Dieta was selected by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services as one of the “Top 20 Most Innovative Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Applications” in the country in 2004 and has been scientifically evaluated through a large, ongoing randomized trial funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundations Health eTechnology Initiative, according to a Blue Cross Blue Shield New Mexico news release.”
