Dust is settling now in immigration reform debate
Posted on: July 16th, 2007“Now that the immigration reform bill has died twice in our nations capital, it is time for America to see what is left after the foreign dust has settled. The bill managed to bring the best and the worst out of a lot of people and organizations.
Democrats in the Senate took the high road looking for a compromise, and Republicans, on the other hand, sent a message to Latino voters that it does not want them in their party, perhaps securing themselves the role of minority for years to come.”
