“The live broadcast Wednesday night of the semifinal Copa América soccer match between Mexico and Argentina scored big for Univision, drawing 6.9 million viewers and making it the most-watched sports telecast ever in Spanish-language TV.
The soccer match was the No. 1 program of the night among adults, 18-34 2.7 million, men 18-34 4.9 million and men 18-49 2.4 million and households 3.6 million, outpacing programming for any Hispanic or English-language network, including ABCs Next Best Thing and American Inventor; NBCs Americas Got Talent and Last Comic Standing; and Foxs So You Think You Can Dance. “
