Rapper from Spain takes on global consumerism - Mala Rodríguez

“The modern, high-speed society we live in can be exciting but also dangerous, says Madrid-based urban rapper Mala Rodrí­guez.

She says that the TV, print and Internet media all relay the same message ”” its all focused on the latest electronic gadgetry, material goods and money.

“All this consumerism, this globalization, its all about wanting to have so much, that we forget how to live,” said Rodrí­guez in a recent interview. “You want, you want and you want so much, you do not enjoy what you have in the present. So, that makes me sad. I see that all this imperialism is just making all these countries want to be like the United States in that sense.”"
