“For two years, loan officer Mario Ramos has been doing what his neighbors in downtown Mesa are now seeking to accomplish.

Ramos, who works for Arizona Wholesale Mortgage, attracts scores of Latino clients into the heart of the predominantly Anglo, square-mile business district.

And that happens to be high on the priority list of Downtown Mesa Association officials whose headquarters are just around the corner from Ramos office. “
