“A federal court ruled Thursday that ex-President Luis Echeverria does not have to face genocide charges for his alleged involvement in a 1968 student massacre, Echeverria’s lawyer said.

Federal officials who wanted to prosecute Echeverria have 10 days to ask for another revision of the case, attorney Juan Velazquez told The Associated Press.”
