“Talent-driven. Thats the word on the eighth annual New York International Latino Film Festival, running for six days from July 24 to July 29 at venues around the city.

“This year is all about growth,” says festival Executive Director Calixto Chinchilla. “Filmmakers are doing stronger stories. Its really about new talent; we have a lot of first-time filmmakers, and the stories are amazing.”
