Knowledge is Power!
“WSBS-Mega TV, Channel 22, announced today the launch of its new image campaign, “LA MEGA SE PEGA,” reinforcing the station’s current position as a modern, energetic and progressive outlet.
The station slogan proudly proclaims: “¿QUE COSA ES LO QUE SE DICE? ¡QUE LA MEGA SE PEGA!” (What are they saying out there? Mega TV sticks to you!). The goal of the new campaign is to establish the notion that mass appeal and community awareness lead to the high demand and popularity of Mega TV. In addition, the campaign also aims to enhance the community’s local flavor, Cuban roots (“El Cubaneo”), folklore, and Miamian customs and traditions.
Mega TV’s Promotion and Creative Services Department produced the campaign which defines the station as the young and innovative leader in the market.
Mega TV also appointed Ernesto Fundora to collaborate with its creative team in the implementation of the new campaign. Mr. Fundora is a renowned producer in the Hispanic broadcasting industry, whose work includes video clips such as Celia Cruz’s “La Negra Tiene Tumbao”. Fundora and the Mega creative team developed a series of compelling concepts that are full of humor, visual liveliness, rhythm and local street atmospheres that all speak to the colorful Cuban culture.”
The soundtrack of “LA MEGA SE PEGA”, created, produced and performed by the world-renowned artist Albita Rodriguez, carries a touch of Conga flavor. The photography was shot by Mexican director, Eduardo Vertty, with the additional support of Tony Perez and his production staff.
“This is an exciting moment in Mega TV’s evolution,” said Cynthia Hudson Fernandez, SBS Chief Creative Officer and Executive Vice President. “It’s now a little over a year since the station’s launch, and we’ve reached a point of critical mass in South Florida. “LA MEGA SE PEGA’ is aimed to now take the station to the next level of excitement and popularity. The design, music and art work are all top notch, and we’re eager to witness the campaign’s results,” added Ms. Hudson Fernandez.
