Hispanic Seafair outgrows backyard, expands to Seattle Center

“The Hispanic event was held for 25 years in Seward Park, where homemade signs were the norm and some vendors sold goods from the backs of their cars, said Manny Rios, president of this years event.

“Then it was more like a backyard gathering,” said Rios, who said attendance a decade ago was about 2,000.

“Now the festival draws Latinos from all across Western Washington and it shows what we can do.”"
