Alltel Wireless to bring exclusive “Mi CÃrculo, Mi MÚsica’ concert to El Paso community
Tagged: children, El Paso, family, latin america, Mexico, Reno, Spain, TexasPosted on: July 1st, 2007“Alltel Wireless, America’s largest network, today announced it will host a complimentary concert featuring popular Latin alternative rock performers, La 5a Estacion and the Mexican alternative rock group, Reik, in El Paso, Texas, on July 6, 2007 at 8:00 p.m. “Mi Círculo, Mi MÚsica” (My Circle, My Music) is a celebration of Alltel’s exclusive “My Circle” calling feature that allows Alltel customers to choose who they call for free – any 10 numbers, any network. The concert will be held at the historic Plaza Theatre in downtown El Paso.
“Mi Círculo, Mi MÚsica” tickets are free and available at select Alltel retail stores and indirect agents in El Paso or Las Cruces, NM, while supplies last. Area residents can randomly draw one of two different colored wristbands; purple wristbands will receive two free concert tickets and white wristbands receive 11 free tickets, one for the customer and one for each of his / her “Circle’ of 10 friends and family. “Mi Círculo, Mi MÚsica” will feature two popular alternative rock bands. The opening act, Reik, was formed in mid-2003 and signed with Sony Music in July 2004. In 2005, Reik received three MTV Video Music Awards Latin America (Premios MTV Latinoamérica). The evening’s headliner, La 5a Estación, is a Latin Billboard award winner, garnering multiple top 10 hits in Mexico and Spain. The band’s second album, “Flores de Alquiler,” went platinum in the U.S. and triple gold in Mexico.
In conjunction with the concert, Alltel employees from across the El Paso area will join Reik in helping to renovate the “Circle of Love” wing of the Child Crisis Center of El Paso on June 26, 2007. Alltel will also make a $10,000 corporate contribution to the Child Crisis Center on behalf of area employees and customers.
