Temecula wineries finding success using Mexican grapes – California
Tagged: California, MexicoPosted on: June 19th, 2007“Buddy and Cherri Linn bought Van Roekel Winery in the Temecula Valley two years ago with a plan to create a Spanish theme. They changed the name to La Cereza and sought Spanish-style grapes, such as tempranillo.
Their problem: The Temecula Valley has fewer than 20 acres of tempranillo grapes.
Their solution: Get the grapes from Mexico.”
