Latinos protest immigration crackdown – Painesville, Ohio
Tagged: Ohio, protestPosted on: June 18th, 2007“No chants. No demands. Hardly anyone to hear them, anyway.
Marching through the empty streets of downtown Painesville on Sunday afternoon, Latino immigrants and their supporters quietly protested a crackdown on illegal immigrants and prayed for protection.
Their message fell mostly on each other on a hot and muggy Fathers Day, but organizers said the stillness of the occasion was fitting.”
