“At first thought, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and 18-year-old Texas Womans University-bound student Amanda Barrera wouldnt seem to have much in common.

But Michael “Mico” Rodrí­guez, the restaurant mogul who has built a $75 million company since 1991, made sure they now have a powerful connection.

Mr. Rodrí­guez, 49, co-chaired this years scholarship fundraising campaign for the Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.”
