Sensible Immigration Bill Needed To Allay Coming Labor Shortages
Posted on: June 5th, 2007“The Senate is back in session, and the debate on the immigration reform bill has resumed. The danger now is that the bipartisan but tenuous compromise reached before the Memorial Day recess will eventually break down under the mounting pressures, effectively leaving us with the status quo.
As Ronald Reagan used to say, “status quo” is Latin for “the mess were in,” and the one thing that we should all be able to agree on is that, when it comes to immigration, the mess we are presently in is simply not acceptable.”
