Tagged: border, citizenship, Hispanic Chamber, MarylandPosted on: June 5th, 2007“The Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (MDHCC) strongly supports a bipartisan effort to enact comprehensive immigration reform that provides millions of undocumented immigrants with a legal means to work and a path to citizenship. Although the MDHCC does not support a blanket amnesty law, it does support a non-partisan approach to ensuring that those individuals and families who are providing much needed and valuable services to this country are treated humanely and with respect. It is imperative that comprehensive reform take into account the enormous contribution that all immigrants have made and continue to make to sustain and further our American way of life. The MDHCC supports legislation that protects US borders and boosts our economy.
The mission of the Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is to promote the establishment, growth, prosperity and retention of Hispanic businesses, and those entities, and persons that support them in the State of Maryland.
