“A shoeshine man confronts a lonely widower on a street in Mexico City and insists on shining his shoes. After reluctantly yielding to the request, the widower discovers there can be more to a shoeshine than spit and polish.
Such is the premise of “El Bolero,” an independent short film written, directed and edited by Rob DelGaudio of Hopkinton. A “bolero” is the colloquial word in Mexico for a shoeshine man.”
