DaimlerChrysler AG said it opened its first auto-loan call center dedicated to serve Spanish-speaking customers in the United States and Mexico.

“The $6.5-million center in Monterrey, Mexico ”” the nation’s second-largest city ”” is expected to employ about 180 workers.

The 23,000-square-foot facility will primarily service customers of Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge brand vehicles in Mexico, and Spanish-speaking customers in the United States. The call center will exclusively serve Chrysler, once the sale of the Auburn Hills automaker is completed sometime in the third-quarter.”
