Tamale fest heats up for third year – San Jose

Last year, 15,000 people attended the daylong event at Emma Prusch Farm Park Story and King roads in San Jose, according to organizers. This year, the third, the festival will be bigger and better.
The popular tamale-making contest returns, with a king and a queen crowned as winners. The grand prize is two round-trip tickets to any Southwest Airlines destination. The entertainment headliner is Pete Escovedo with the NuDay Band. Festivalgoers can enjoy dancing and activities for the entire family.”
