According to Marketing y Medios, the year 2007 is predicted to be a record breaking year for the advertising communitys commitment of $1.5 Billion to Spanish-language TV. But, the spending toward Hispanic programming is considerably lower compared to the percentage of the population that is Hispanic. TV as a key indicator represented about one-third of the $4.3 billion in Spanish-language ad sales for 2006, compared to $3.8 billion in 2005. Programming targeting Latinos is also on the rise. Is the tide turning? Hispanic-Net, in an effort to shed light on these trends and subsequent opportunities and challenges, has put together a best in class panel of Northern California’s Latino leaders to review the current and future of Latino Media & Entertainment.Hispanic-Net takes a proactive role towards entrepreneurialism and seeks to illuminate the business issues affecting the Latino community at-large. Hispanic-net provides forums to educate, encourage, stimulate networking opportunities, and to ultimately strengthen Hispanic Entrepreneurship on a national level. This event is co-presented by NALIP National Association of Latino Independent Producers.
