New Jersey Hispanics struggle to pay for prescriptions, survey says
Tagged: insurance, New JerseyPosted on: May 26th, 2007“Half of New Jersey Hispanics pay the full retail price of their prescription drugs out-of-pocket because they lack insurance coverage, leading many to skip doses and even cut their pills in half, a survey released yesterday found.
Commissioned by AARP, the survey revealed that more than 40 percent of New Jersey Hispanics are shelling out an average of $100 a month for prescriptions, although 43 percent of those surveyed reported earning less than $20,000 a year.”
