Immigration rally urges petition support – Orlando
Tagged: rallyPosted on: May 24th, 2007“Lurvin Lizardo, a Honduran on a temporary visa, broke into tears as she explained to an east Orlando crowd why she opposed any plan requiring her return to Central America to get a green card.
A single mom, Lizardo said she has two American daughters, ages 4 and 11, who would have to stay with their father or other relatives.
“Ive been here for 18 years, waiting and waiting,” said Lizardo, 35, a house cleaner in the Tampa area. “What would happen to my daughters? Who would take care of them? Their future is in this country.”"
