Puppeteer spreads his craft to the young – Richard Diaz & Perpetual Puppets Production and Design

“Pulling strings is Richard Diaz’s livelihood.

Its been his passion since age 6, when his brother-in-law gave him three wooden marionettes that Diaz would make dance while crouched out of sight behind his mothers couch. People were fascinated with his dexterity and skill at such an early age.

Word soon spread around the Bronx borough of New York, where he spent his early years. Neighbors called him a prodigy, comparing him to his hero, Muppet’s creator Jim Henson.”
