patty dukesThe second annual Cuervotón reached its culmination this past Saturday in Chicago as contestants from across the nation competed for a chance to win the much coveted deal with Def Jam’s Roc La Familia Records. Park West was filled with hundreds of anxious supporters who cheered on their favorites and waited for a star-studded line-up which consisted of Pitbull, Nina Sky, Notch, Chingo Bling, Malverde and more.

Contestants were flown in from their hometowns of New York, Miami, Chicago, Houston and Phoenix to deliver their absolute best performance yet. After their captivating appearances, the audience was able to vote for their favorite contestant. In addition to this voting element, the judges’ score and criteria determined the winner. Since there was no clearly defined favorite early on in the competition, the race was extremely close among the contestants.

Jose Cuervo partnered with urban superstars Pitbull, Chingo Bling and Malverde for the 2nd annual talent search for “La Nueva Generación”, the next generation of Latino artists in urban music.
