Venevision goes mobile

“Miami-based Spanish-language distrib Venevision Intl., owned by Venezuelan media conglom Grupo Cisneros, is jumping into the mobile content biz, creating custom-made mini-telenovelas for fans of the genre.

The Latino sudsers-on-the-go kick off with 20 2½ minute episodes of “Querido Profe” Dear Professor, starring Hector Soberon, Ana Silvetti and Liannet Borrego. Set in an exclusive art school for girls, sudser will be produced entirely in Miami. Jose Useche directs the mobisodes based on scripts by Francisco Arrieta and Gaby Albarran.”
