“In the fall of 2002, Jim Moran became the baseball coach at Poinciana High and arrived at the school to find a program that was, he says now, “in shambles.”
The Eagles had won one game the season before. Even worse, many of the best players in school were stuck in places far away from the baseball field.
Moran said Hispanics represented the best baseball players in school. But for a variety of reasons, many of them weren’t on his first team.”
