“-Two of the leading names in Christian Reggaeton, CanZion Group recording artists Manny Montes and Dr. P will perform during the 2007 Expolit Convention in support of American Bible Society’s “La Biblia Es Mi Guí” (“The Bible is My Guide”) campaign. The free concert, to be held at the Sheraton Miami Mart Hotel on May 19, is a result of the recent three-year partnership between American Bible Society and the CanZion Group. The event is open to both Expolit attendees as well as the general public.
During the Expolit concert, Montes and Dr. P are slated to perform songs from the upcoming album, A Fuego Con La Palabara, which will be promoted and distributed through a joint venture between American Bible Society and the CanZion Group. The album, which will feature 12 original songs by some of the top names in Christian Reggaeton, was created specifically for American Bible Society’s popular “La Biblia Es Mi Guí” campaign.
“La Biblia Es Mi Guí” is a national Bible advocacy campaign focused on reaching Latinos throughout the U.S. and the world by collaborating with prominent figures to encourage Bible reading, so that individuals can experience its life-changing message. The award winning Christian/Latino rock band Salvador has been promoting La Biblia Es Mi Guí during their nationwide tour, and New York Yankee Pitcher Mariano Rivera recently kicked off a subway advertising campaign in New York.
