“ImpreMedia, LLC, the nation’s leading Spanish-language print and online news publisher, announced today it has completed the acquisition of Tribune Company’s New York publication, Hoy, and its related weekend publication Fin de Semana. Both companies announced the acquisition agreement on February 12, 2007.

ImpreMedia Chairman and CEO, John Paton, also announced the appointment of Jorge Ayala to the position of Publisher and CEO of Hoy New York, effective immediately. Mr. Ayala had previously been the General Sales Manager at ImpreMedia’s El Diario La Prensa, also in New York, where he led the division to record advertising sales revenues. “Jorge has done just a remarkable job at El Diario La Prensa and we are sure he will have the same success at Hoy New York,” Mr. Paton said.

Hoy New York is a free daily newspaper published Monday through Friday. Fin de Semana New York is published every Saturday. Both publications are CAC audited. ImpreMedia is the owner of New York’s El Diario La Prensa, the nation’s fastest growing paid major daily newspaper according to the ABC Fas-Fax released in September 2006.

The combination of Hoy New York and El Diario La Prensa cements ImpreMedia’s position as a leader in Hispanic media in New York. Based on Scarborough research, the combined readership of Hoy New York and El Diario La Prensa will allow ImpreMedia to deliver nearly twice the number of Spanish-preferred adults as New York’s leading Spanish-language TV station, owned by Univision, and nearly three times more than New York’s leading Spanish-language radio station.

“Hoy New York is a strong addition to the ImpreMedia national sales network,” said Erich Linker, Senior Vice President of Sales for ImpreMedia. “It will expand our overall national reach for advertisers as well as our penetration of the very important New York market.”

Terms of the acquisition from the Tribune Company (NYSE: TRB), one of the nation’s top media firms, were not disclosed. “
