Before the tears fall. Before hands rise toward the ceiling and the tambourines start to clang. Before every head bows in this tiny church on Poinciana Avenue, they’re simply a group of people who embrace each other as family, share meals, watch over one another’s children, and carry out the kind of conversations that usually take years of friendship to develop.
