“School board President Nancy Navarro Dist. 5 of Silver Spring will be recognized next month as one of the U.S. Hispanic Youth Entrepreneur & Education’s Hispanic Hero award winners for education.

Navarro, a board member for two years and co-founder of the nonprofit Centro Familia, will be awarded during a June 7 ceremony at the Living Classroom Foundation in Baltimore.”
