University of Utah bestows honorary doctorate on Mickey Ibarra
Tagged: Doctor, library, population, UtahPosted on: May 7th, 2007“Mickey Ibarra, a Salt Lake City native who served as vice-chairman of a White House Task Force that coordinated federal involvement in the 2002 Winter Olympics, received an honorary doctorate Friday from the University of Utah, one day after donating his papers to the J. Willard Marriott Library. The honorary degree was based on Ibarras “generous support” of the university, where he received a masters of education degree in 1980, and his work on behalf of the nations Latino population. “
