“Finalists have been announced for the first-ever Medallas de Cortez, which recognize excellence in Hispanic radio broadcasting. The awards are named in honor of Raoul Cortez, who founded the United States’ first Spanish-language radio station, KCOR, in 1946, and will be presented during the inaugural Radio Ink Hispanic Conference in San Antonio, May 22-23.
