“Last night’s arrest of the Spanish singer Isabel Pantoja in relation to “Operation Malaya,’ a probe into an alleged real estate corruption plot in the Marbella Malaga City Council and has been linked to tourism projects in Samana province northeast, Dominican Republic.
Almost 100 people, most of them ex-mayors, lawyers and businesspersons have been detained in the alleged corruption case that began March 29 last year in that resort town in southern Spain, where more than 1,000 bank accounts have been blocked, up to 20 houses searched and some 3.0 billion dollars in assets seized.”
