“U.S. consumers shopping in several supermarkets these days can easily find Chilean salmon. No wonder. Chile now accounts for more than half of all U.S. salmon imports, according to U.S. Commerce Department data. Canada, the closest competitor, accounts for a little over a third.

Last year, Chile managed to export salmon and trout worth a total of $792.2 million to the United States”
