“Greetings from the northern outpost of Aztlán, or as its otherwise known, Chicago. For the month of May, Ill be profiling Chicano arts and letters here, starting with a look at a rock of progressive politics, a peoples artist in the truest sense, Carlos Cortez.

Other columns will give you a birds eye view of a major force in Latino literature in the Midwest, MARCH/Abrazo Press–a review of its newest chapbook, A Book of Mornings, and a profile of its author, RaÚl Niño. Next week, however, Im posting a special Mothers Day column.”
