“A bill sent to Gov. Janet Napolitano on Wednesday would bar state and local governments from accepting ID cards provided by the Mexican government to its citizens.

The Senate approved the bill SB1236 on a 16-13 vote, with Republican Tom O’Halleran of Sedona joining 12 Democrats in voting against it. The other 16 Republicans voted for the bill.”
