““Descubre and Download,” MTV Tr3s’ multi-platform destination dedicated to promoting a new generation of Latino artists, has selected Gustavo Laureano, singer of the successful Puerto Rican rock band La Secta Allstar, as its featured artist May 1 – June 10, 2007. Gustavo will be given MTV Tr3s’ full multi-screen treatment with high profile placement on multiple platforms including MiTRL, MTVTr3s.com, MTV Tr3s Radio, MTV.com, and MTV Networks’ URGE digital music service and viewers will get several exclusives including:
– Exclusive free download of Gustavo’s first single, “Si Me Hablaras”
– 2 minute video vignettes throughout MTV Tr3s programming
– Appearance on Mi TRL on May 3rd at 4:30 PM Eastern
– Artist Page on MTV.com
– Gustavo Laureano artist page on MTVTr3s.com, complete with video, bio, photo gallery, EPK excerpts, and more on MTVTr3s.com
– Link to Urge.com artist page, including Gustavo’s personal playlist

– Interviews and commentary on MTVTr3s RadioFollowing a successful run with La Secta Allstar, Gustavo has embarked on a solo career and will soon release his début album as a soloist, “KINGCALLERO DEL AMOR,” which is produced by Marteen (well known Argentine producer, who has worked with Fobia and Circo among others). Gustavo wrote the lyrics, composed the melodies and created the musical base, while Marteen functioned as the co-author on a majority of the songs. The album is a fusion of electronic, urban, lounge, rock, soul and pop sounds.
