“El Nuevo Dí Orlando, the only Spanish language daily newspaper in Central Florida, reported the results of an audit conducted by the Certified Audit of Circulations (CAC) during the months of January, February and March of 2007. The CAC, established in 1956, is a research firm that serves publishers, advertisers and advertising agencies and reports circulation data throughout the United States. According to the CAC final audit report, El Nuevo Dí Orlando has a circulation of 25,706 from Monday to Thursday and 38,378 on Fridays. “We are committed to providing valuable and reliable market information to our advertisers about the fast growing Hispanic market of Central Florida. This, our first circulation audit, confirms our leadership position as the main source of local information for the Hispanic Community in Orlando”, said Jaime Segura General Manager of El Nuevo Dí. “We are also pleased to report a pick-up rate of 99.5%, an unprecedented statistic for the newspaper industry”.

Among other important findings, the audit reveals that 15,000 copies are home delivered and that 96% of those subscribers read the newspaper. “We are very satisfied that an independent agency certifies that almost all of our subscribers read our newspaper from start to finish”, commented Linda Hernández Editor of El Nuevo Dí. The audit also reports that the newspaper is read by two or more family members in 79% of the households that are subscribed to home delivery. In addition, the CAC audit reports that 75.5% of home delivery subscribers buy products or services from businesses that advertise in El Nuevo Dí and 78% read the classifieds section.
