Dunking the Jersey Guys
Tagged: AT&T, family, radioPosted on: April 26th, 2007“The Jersey Guys got a taste of Hispanic muscle when they were creamed by Dunkin’ Donuts. In February, the talk show hosts launched “La Cucha Gotcha,” a campaign urging their listeners to report undocumented immigrants. With references to cucarachas and Mexican music in the background, the Jersey guys made clear who they were targeting. To add insult to injury, their round-up of undocumented immigrants was slated to end on Cinco de Mayo.
But Dunkin’ Donuts demonstrated its diversity and family-friendly values by announcing Tuesday that it would withdraw its sponsorship from WKXW, the station that presents the Jersey Guys. That follows AT&T’s move to also stop advertising on the Millenium Radio Group station.”
