“Rhode Island’s official Web site www.RI.gov has recently expanded the online resources it provides to both current and future residents of the state. The new Spanish-language and Moving to Rhode Island mini portals make it easier for the state’s growing Hispanic community as well as those relocating to Rhode Island to conveniently find state and federal information and services.
The new Información En Español mini portal includes a list of government information and services in Spanish, including education, immigration, health, and transportation resources. These links are separated into state and federal resource categories.
The new Moving To Rhode Island mini portal offers information such as how to obtain a Rhode Island driver’s license, vehicle registration transfers, home buying and rental assistance, health care resources, mapping and town information, voting, area utility companies, and other useful state statistics and data.
The RI.gov Web site offers more than 100 online services to citizens and businesses, including vehicle registration renewals, vanity plate purchase, business license renewals, boat registration renewals, fishing licenses, and over 55 business tax types payable online.
