“Gospel Music Channel has renewed its original weekly series featuring the best in Christian Spanish Language music videos by todays top-selling Latino Gospel artists, Espíritu Latino “Latin Spirit”, for a second season, it was announced today. Season two will kick off on Sat. May 5, 2007 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT, climaxing the network’s Cinco de Mayo Marathon of season one, which begins at 10:30 a.m.
Espíritu Latino is hosted by one of the most-popular International recording artists in Latino music, Julissa, who returns as series host for season two. Each week, Julissa takes viewers on a journey through live performances, interviews and the weeks top Latino videos, creating an engaging blend of music, information and entertainment for all viewers to enjoy, no matter their language. Season two of Espíritu Latino will feature amazing performances from such popular Latino artists as Lali Torres, Roberto Orellana, and Blest among others, showcasing a mix of different styles of Latin Christian music including contemporary, rock/alternative, tropical music, and rap/reggaeton.
Julissa is one of the most recognized Latino Gospel music artists in the industry, of a new generation of singers with an impressive ministry and career that includes ten musical productions and recipient of numerous international awards and recognitions, including the Latin Music Fan Award. Julissa’s name, music and videos are known, heard and seen around the globe. Her album “Mi Propósito” was nominated for a GMA Dove Award, Christian/Gospel music’s biggest night of the year. Her tenth and latest musical production, titled “El Ritmo de la Vida,” debuts on May 15th.
Espíritu Latino can be seen weekly on Gospel Music Channel on Fridays at 2:00 p.m., Saturdays at 10:00 a.m. and Sundays at 6:00 p.m.
