NAU librarian fills history gap with Hispanic locals’ stories – Delia Ceballos Munoz – Arizona
Tagged: latinaPosted on: April 22nd, 2007“Beginning in 1997, she has collected 37 personal histories from Hispanic people in town. She has also interviewed veterans, through her affiliation with Nuestras Raices, a local group whose families came from the first Hispanic pioneers.
Munoz records the oral interviews on video.
“Mostly, it just unravels,” she said. “Its different phases of their lives, coming down to current times. It connects me closer to these people. I knew of these people, but didn’t really know them, until taking these oral histories.”"
