Farmers Branch leaders not conceding regrets over immigrant measure

“Some Farmers Branch residents say its time for Mayor Bob Phelps and two City Council members to take a public stance against a proposed anti-illegal immigrant ordinance.

They say Mr. Phelps, Charlie Bird and Jim Smith regret the January decision approving the ordinance, which would essentially ban apartments from renting to illegal immigrants, and calling for a citywide election on it May 12.”
